Assembly Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assembly Operator to join our team at Collins Aerospace, a Raytheon Technologies company. As an Assembly Operator, you will play a critical role in the production of our cutting-edge aerospace and defense products.

• Perform routine and repetitive assembly operations and processes
• Must be available to work 2nd shift
• Primary Responsibilities:
  • Technical Tasks:
    • Perform machine and/or manual assembly
    • Scope, soldering, and computer work required
    • Perform unique assembly processes
    • Accurately read and follow procedures, routing and other work instructions
  • Customer Focus:
    • Meet internal and external customer deadlines as determined by team
    • Build parts that meet drawing specifications
    • Comply with applicable elements of quality systems (ACE)
  • Special Projects:
    • Demonstrate initiative to keep processes moving and on schedule
    • Understand and use computer tools such as SAP and accurately follow work instructions
    • Achieve special process certification where applicable
    • Demonstrate a proactive role in problem solving
    • Pursue certifications in continuous improvement (ACE)
• Communication:
  • Interface with other functional groups to update, inform, acknowledge or resolve problems related to production issues
  • Effectively interact with others
• Participation:
  • Participate in cost reduction plans
  • Participate in waste minimization efforts
  • Participate in audits

• Typically requires HS Diploma
• In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience is required
• Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident
• Must be available to work 2nd shift
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 35 pounds
