Job Overview

NASC GLOBAL is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Power Engineer to lead projects focused on energy efficiency and electrical distribution in Davenport, IA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage capital projects from initial funding approval to completion, ensuring all deliverables are met on time and within scope.
  • Develop creative solutions to enhance energy efficiency, aligned with DPW energy reduction goals.
  • Execute projects that bolster the reliability of the plant's electrical distribution network while minimizing risks.
  • Oversee project budgets, ensuring adherence to planned expenditures and delivering tasks as scheduled.
  • Uphold engineering standards in accordance with NEC/NFPA/IEEE guidelines throughout all project phases.
  • Coordinate with designers, maintenance teams, and contractors during field construction and manage electrical power outages.
  • Provide expert guidance during power outages, engaging in failure analysis and leading teams to identify root causes and solutions.
  • Offer technical leadership and commissioning support for significant capital projects that enhance energy efficiency and improve the distribution network.
  • Collaborate with local power companies to secure rebates for energy efficiency projects.
  • Manage arc flash and short circuit studies as per DPW standards, addressing any issues through capital or expense measures as necessary.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • At least 5 years of engineering experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 3 years in project management, skilled in developing scope, specifications, and technical designs.
  • Basic understanding of medium voltage power distribution.
Desired Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETAP).
  • Familiarity with energy management systems and energy auditing.
  • Knowledge of renewable energy integration and smart grid technology.
Desired Certifications
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM).
