Job Overview

Butterball, LLC is a leading producer of turkey products in the United States, and we're seeking a skilled Production Associate to join our team in North Carolina. As a Production Associate, you'll play a vital role in our deboning department, working with knives and other tools to cut turkey parts from whole turkeys and trim turkey parts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform repetitive tasks with assistance of tools, such as knives and scissors, to cut turkey parts from whole turkeys or to trim turkey parts
  • Perform other various manual, repetitive tasks associated with processing and packaging deboned turkey parts
  • Keep knives and other tools sharpened and in good working condition throughout the day
  • Train to proficiency to rotate through jobs and perform multiple tasks within the department

Working Conditions:

Our production environment can be fast-paced and physically demanding, with temperature fluctuations, damp-to-wet conditions, and exposure to raw meat and associated parts. You'll work with loud and noisy machinery and be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and hygiene equipment.

Requirements:

  • No minimum education requirement
  • No previous work experience required
  • Follows all safety, USDA, and GMP policies and guidelines
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions and policies
  • Must be able to work in a team atmosphere
  • Must be able to work at line speed upon completion of training period
  • Accountable to maintain punctual and regular attendance for scheduled work hours
  • Must be willing and able to perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must be at least eighteen years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
