About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Operations Specialist to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, including electrical, structural, mechanical, plumbing/pipe fitting, and HVAC systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical Systems: Install, repair, and maintain electrical circuits, including three-phase starters and motors, as well as 115-volt receptacles and lighting systems.
  • Structural Systems: Install, repair, and maintain structural components, including drop ceilings, partition steel studding, door buck framing, and sheet rock.
  • Mechanical Systems: Install, repair, and maintain mechanical components, including bearings, seals, and belts on motors, pumps, and blowers.
  • Plumbing/Pipe Fitting Systems: Install, repair, and maintain plumbing and pipe fitting systems, including steam piping, regulators, and traps.
  • HVAC/Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems: Install, repair, and maintain HVAC and refrigeration systems, including central refrigeration and air conditioning systems.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems.
  • Conduct visual inspections of assigned areas and repair as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed.
  • Respond to emergency situations and perform repairs as needed.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a trades-related field, including electrical, structural, mechanical, plumbing/pipe fitting, and HVAC.
