Job Title: Speech Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Speech Therapist to join our team at The Overlook, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing high-quality care and services to older adults in Massachusetts.

Job Summary:

The Speech Therapist will provide skilled speech therapy services in home and skilled nursing settings, consistent with ASHA professional standards and MHS/OCAH policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in speech-language pathology and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete patient assessments and evaluations to determine functional level and establish a therapeutic program.
  • Develop a therapy plan of care with the overall plan of care to include goals and discharge plans.
  • Document patient progress and notable changes in patient condition.
  • Communicate and coordinate patient care with other members of the patient's healthcare team.
  • Provide patient, caregiver, and family teaching related to the patient's speech therapy program and its maintenance.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Speech Language Pathology program.
  • Current license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Must possess a current Driver's License and reliable transportation.
