Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Psychotherapist to join our team at Element Care. As a Behavioral Health Therapist, you will provide essential services to clients in nursing home settings, working closely with Primary Care clinicians and APRNs to deliver high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and provide individual and group psychotherapy to clients, as well as behavioral health consultation to other disciplines.
  • Act as a role model for professional relationships, effective communication, and teamwork, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Perform routine and urgent psychiatric evaluations, developing clinically appropriate treatment plans that prioritize relational, behavioral, and affective functioning.
  • Implement evidence-based and best practice psychotherapeutic interventions, monitoring clients' responses and adjusting plans as needed.
  • Document interventions and rationale/response in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Provide behavioral health consultation and support to the Interdisciplinary Team, enhancing their ability to integrate psychiatric concepts and skills into care delivery.
  • Participate in Behavioral Health program projects to enhance clinical practice, teamwork, and program development.
  • Cover for Behavioral Health colleagues when needed, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to team success.
  • Ability to pass a fit test, as the position requires mask wear where a tight seal is critical. Incumbent must not have facial hair that interferes with a tight seal of the respirator.
  • Other duties as required, ensuring a seamless and effective delivery of services.
Requirements
  • Master's or doctoral degree in social work, counseling, or psychology.
  • License to practice in the Commonwealth of MA as an LICSW or LMHC.
  • At least 2-5 years of experience in the practice of psychotherapy, with evidence of competence in evaluation and treatment of older adults.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with elders, demonstrating a commitment to serving this population.
  • Covid vaccines required, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
