Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Port St. Lucie, FL. The successful candidate will work with students to improve their communication skills, enhancing their academic and social success.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to address each student's specific needs.
  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services using evidence-based practices.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support and monitor student progress.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of student evaluations, therapy sessions, and progress reports.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, offering expert recommendations for accommodations and interventions.
  • Educate and support school staff and parents on strategies to support students' speech and language development.
Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid Florida SLP license.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Experience in a school setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
