We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in providing high-quality care to seniors in a Christian environment. Our organization has provided over 100 years of housing and services to seniors, prioritizing quality care and service.
Job Summary
This opportunity allows an LPN to travel locally by working in various GSS locations within a 150-mile radius from home, providing care with competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, flexibility, and no contract requirement. As a Travel LPN, you will be responsible for demonstrating knowledge of nursing principles for residents in the relevant clinical setting, practicing within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge, and utilizing appropriate age and population-specific standards related to physical and psychosocial needs.
Responsibilities
Ensure the health, comfort, and safety of residents. Contribute to the assessment of residents and administer medications or treatments as ordered. Provide technical support to healthcare professionals as needed. Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with residents, healthcare providers, and the public. Communicate clearly and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Counsel residents, family members, and/or resident advocates on prevention and treatment plans under the direction of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician.
Requirements
Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred. Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges. Obtain and subsequently maintain required department-specific competencies and certifications. Complete required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training requirements of the department and facility.
