Travel LPN Position Overview

The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team as a Travel LPN. This opportunity allows the LPN to travel locally by working in various GSS locations within a 150-mile radius from their home address, providing care with competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, flexibility, and no contract requirement.

Estimated Salary: $24.00 - $36.00 per hour

This position offers a salary range of $24.00 to $36.00 per hour, depending on experience and location. With this job, you'll have the opportunity to work in multiple locations, providing high-quality nursing care to residents while enjoying a flexible schedule and competitive compensation.

Job Description

This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to residents across multiple locations within a 150-mile radius. Responsibilities include administering treatments, documenting care, and collaborating with healthcare teams. As a Travel LPN, you will be required to work at least 24 hours per month and one weekend rotation per month.

  • Administer medications or treatments as ordered
  • Provide technical support to healthcare professionals as needed
  • Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess a valid LPN license and have experience in long-term care. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of nursing principles, ability to work effectively with professional and supportive personnel, and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

  • Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred
  • Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges
