Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement electrical validation methodologies for printed circuit boards (PCBs) and various subsystems in collaboration with system integration and technology teams.
  • Create and manage comprehensive test plans for multiple modules and overall systems, ensuring thorough validation coverage that includes System on Chip (SoC), low-speed signal interfaces (I2C, I2S), I/O signals, high-speed differential interfaces, and the electrical performance of subsystems such as optical sensors, microphones, cameras, batteries, and RF components.
  • Lead and execute validation efforts to meet critical deadlines and objectives.
  • Oversee the execution, analysis, and reporting of electrical validation activities and results.
  • Maintain records of coverage metrics and track issues encountered and resolved.
  • Assist in system bring-up and troubleshooting activities.
  • Effectively communicate test plans and outcomes to relevant stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Electrical System Verification for consumer electronics.
  • Proven experience in defining validation test plans.
  • Demonstrated ownership of significant areas of electrical validation.
  • Hands-on experience executing electrical validation in a laboratory setting, with familiarity in using equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters (DMM), electronic loads, power supplies, power analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and temperature chambers.
  • Strong understanding of board schematics and layouts, with the ability to identify appropriate probe locations and potential failure points in the device under test (DUT).
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Python, and LabView for data processing and automation.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Self-motivated and a collaborative team player.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in board and system-level validation and debugging.
  • Familiarity with firmware verification processes.
  • Knowledge of system and subsystem power verification techniques.
  • Development experience in C#, Python, and LabView.
  • Experience with Vector Network Analyzers (VNA), Electronic Navigation Aids (ENA), logic analyzers, signal analyzers, battery simulators, and data acquisition devices (DAQ).
  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
