Job Description

We are seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our team at Danville Family Vet. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our fully equipped veterinary facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist doctors and technicians with various duties, including patient appointments, laboratory sample collection, and radiology procedures.
  • Provide compassionate care to animals, including restraint during examinations and procedures.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the hospital, including kennels and runs, treatment areas, exam rooms, and surgery suite.
  • Ensure soiled laundry is properly cleaned, folded, and stored throughout the work shift.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and management.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED certificate.
  • Flexible schedule, including weekend, evening, and holiday shifts.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Dependability, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to work well with others, and a sense of urgency.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds or more with assistance.
