Position Overview:
As a certified professional, you will be responsible for delivering patient care in collaboration with medical staff and registered nurses across all age groups.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recognize and appropriately respond to emergency situations.
- Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment, including necessary cleaning tasks.
- Assess patient data and prioritize care requirements.
- Conduct regular rounds to enhance patient experience.
- Promptly report any changes in patient conditions to the appropriate medical personnel.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with staff, patients, and visitors, including follow-up calls as needed.
- Adhere to hospital and departmental policies.
- Assist with wound care, catheter insertion, and patient mobility aids.
- Utilize safety equipment correctly.
- Collect, document, and report clinical data, including vital signs.
- Assist with the placement of monitoring devices.
- Perform various direct patient care tasks, including blood draws and diagnostic assistance.
- Conduct blood glucose checks and report abnormal results.
- Inspect and maintain medical equipment and supplies.
- Support patient transport within the facility.
- Pursue educational opportunities for professional development.
- Complete additional duties as assigned within your scope of practice.
Qualifications:
Licensure and Certification:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
- Georgia CNA, LPN, EMT, or Paramedic License, or Medical Office Assistant certification.
