Comprehensive Veterinarian for a Thriving Animal Care Practice

We are seeking an exceptional Veterinarian to join our team at The Center for Animal Wellness in Denver, where we provide comprehensive veterinary care to pets in the metro area.
Around since 2007, we have established ourselves as a wonderful, AAHA accredited practice with a close-knit team that provides high-quality medicine to our engaged clientele. Our hospital is well-equipped with advanced facilities like an ultrasound, laser, digital radiology, a dental suite, and in-house labs.
We are currently a team of 3 full-time and 2 part-time doctors looking for a new colleague to help us grow. We are searching for a skilled Veterinarian who enjoys surgery and dentistry, and who prioritizes practicing high-quality medicine.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing top-notch care to our patients while developing strong relationships with their owners. This role involves performing physical examinations, surgeries, and dentistry, as well as client communication and education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish rapport with clients, determine their needs, and wishes;
- Perform physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures with minimal patient stress and discomfort.
- Explain examination findings and communicate diagnoses to clients;
- Develop and present treatment plans for pets to clients;
- Educate clients on preventative healthcare, including vaccines and nutritional products.
- Maintain accurate client/patient medical records and adhere to established protocols;
- Assist colleagues in follow-up and future patient management.
- Stay current with new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine by attending Continuing Education meetings;
- Contribute to the development of the paraprofessional team to ensure exceptional care and client service;
- Represent the hospital positively in the professional community and to the general public.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university;
- Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of application;
- Professional comportment and appearance, with excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude;
- The ability to make decisions and communicate effectively with colleagues;
- Respect for clients and their pets, and a willingness to work collaboratively;
- A commitment to upholding the highest standard of medicine and the veterinary code of ethics;
- Proficiency in surgery is an asset.
Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
