Electrical Foreman

The Electrical Foreman is responsible for overseeing the construction and maintenance of power lines, poles, and auxiliary facilities for the distribution of electricity. This is a working foreman position, requiring the ability to direct the activities of employees, ensure sufficient labor and materials, and complete planned work as scheduled.

• Operate and maintain distribution systems, including conduits, cables, wires, transformers, circuit breakers, and switches.
• System restoration and follow all safety requirements.
• Inspect and test power lines and auxiliary equipment to locate and identify problems.
• String wire conductors and cables between poles, towers, trenches, pylons, and buildings.
• Test voltage to ensure correct connections are made.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Candidates must have completed a 15-week Electrical Lineman program.
• Proficient in safe rubber glove techniques.
• Knowledge of electric utility construction standards, National Electric Safety Code, and VOSHA/OSHA standards.
• Valid driver's license and CDL class A license preferred.
• Pole Top Rescue, Bucket Truck Rescue, CPR, First Aid, Equi-Potential Grounding, Buck Squeeze, OSHA 10, and 1st class Journeyman Lineman Certificate.

The Electrical Foreman will work in various locations, including multiple job sites, and will be required to ride in a vehicle up to four hours to travel to and from job sites. The work environment will include exposure to characteristic construction site dangers and varying weather conditions.
