Job Overview

The Aircraft Maintenance Technician I plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective daily upkeep of aircraft. This position requires strict adherence to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures as mandated by the management of Atlantic Aviation, as well as federal and local authorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct all tasks in alignment with company policies and safety protocols.
  • Adhere to established safety standards set forth by regulatory bodies.
  • Perform maintenance on aircraft and related components as needed.
  • Engage with clients, suppliers, and colleagues in a professional manner.
  • Report on work progress and any significant issues to the Lead Technician or relevant management.
  • Exemplify the principles of professionalism and positive attitude in all interactions.

Core Duties Include:
  • Foster a safe, efficient, and enjoyable work environment.
  • Ensure timely and effective responses to all aircraft maintenance requests.
  • Obtain necessary labor approvals, including overtime and warranty authorizations, prior to commencing work.
  • Maintain accurate labor entries in the operational and billing systems.
  • Submit all required documentation to maintenance administration for invoicing promptly.
  • Carry out maintenance, preventive maintenance, and modifications on customer equipment as required.
  • Immediately notify supervisors of any unairworthy conditions discovered during work.
  • Interpret technical manuals, diagrams, and specifications as necessary.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned, including taxi and run-up procedures.
  • Ensure all maintenance is executed in accordance with the Repair Station Manual.
  • Conduct repairs on portable powered equipment and ground support tools as needed.
  • Maintain the appearance and operational functionality of all facilities and equipment used in aircraft maintenance.
  • Comply with quality assurance standards and ensure accuracy in documentation and maintenance auditing.
  • Execute any additional duties as assigned by management specific to the location.

Management reserves the right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities as necessary.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent GED.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience with medium to heavy business jets.
  • Factory maintenance training relevant to aircraft models such as Cessna Citation, Beechcraft, Hawker, Falcon, Gulfstream, and Global is advantageous.
