Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Gallo Mechanical Services. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting materials and equipment to various construction sites throughout the Gulf Coast region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive a truck to transport materials and equipment to and from specified destinations
  • Position blocks, tie rope, and other devices to secure loads during transit
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks and/or trailers
  • Verify loads against shipping papers
  • Maintain logs and records according to DOT regulations as required
  • Maintain and check truck equipment and supplies to ensure roadworthiness
  • Notify supervisors of needed or anticipated repairs
  • Perform minor emergency roadside repairs
  • Perform various yard duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Class A Commercial Driving License
  • Familiarity with trailer bumper and gooseneck trailers and other hauling methods
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Able to lift 100 lbs occasionally and frequently lift/carry up to 50 lbs
  • Demonstrate knowledge and/or familiarity with local roads and streets
  • Able to work well in a fast-paced environment
