Software Engineer for Precision Mechatronic Examination Systems

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our team at the Naval Nuclear Laboratory. As a key member of our Examination Design Projects subdivision, you will play a vital role in developing precision mechatronic examination systems for inspecting irradiated fuel from the Navy's submarines and aircraft carriers.
Key Responsibilities- Architect, design, and deploy custom software solutions for control systems
- Develop systems that optimize lifecycle management, focusing on X, Y, Z axis motion control, data acquisition and processing, and database design
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical and electrical engineers, test sponsors, and operations personnel
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or science-related field and 4 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree and 2 years of relevant experience
- Proficient oral and written communication skills
- Creativity in problem-solving and ability to work in a team environment
- Experience in C#, LabVIEW, and AcroBasic

The annual salary for this role is $83,130.70, based on candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
