Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to join our team at Soliant. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a commitment to helping students achieve their communication goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Therapy Sessions: Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist in implementing individual and group therapy sessions based on established treatment plans. Provide direct therapy services to students under the guidance and supervision of the Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Student Assessment: Help in the administration of assessments and screenings to gather data on students' speech and language abilities, under the direction of the Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress, therapy sessions, and treatment plans. Prepare progress reports as required.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Speech-Language Pathologist, teachers, and other school staff to integrate therapy goals into classroom activities and support students' educational development.
  • Classroom Support: Assist with classroom interventions and modifications to support students with speech and language needs.
  • Family Communication: Provide information to parents and caregivers about their child's progress and strategies to support speech and language development at home.
  • Professional Development: Participate in training and professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related field.
  • Current licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
  • Experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, families, and school staff.
  • Knowledge of speech and language development, assessment tools, and therapeutic techniques.
