Pizza Maker Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Pizza Maker to join our team at Piesanos Tallahassee LLC. As a Pizza Maker, you will be responsible for preparing and/or directing the preparation of food to be served, complying with all applicable sanitation, health and personal hygiene standards and following established food production programs and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare pizzas, bread, and other pasta as requested by customers.
  • Prepare dough by kneading and stretching as required.
  • Add toppings according to order slips and manage pizza time in the oven.
  • Assist in cleaning workplaces and maintaining utensils and equipment.
  • Operate stone oven and other equipment.
  • Ensure proper sanitation and preventative maintenance of brick oven and other equipment.
  • Properly handle, prepare, pull, and rotate pizza dough.
  • Maintain a presentable appearance and professional demeanor.
  • Prepare consistent quality food by following Piesanos recipes and procedure standards.
  • Ensure proper sanitation of food and work areas by following FDA code and Piesanos standards.
  • Properly sanitize equipment, utensils, and restaurant by helping in the preventative maintenance of equipment, utensils, and restaurant.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures.
  • Able to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen atmosphere.
  • Effective communication with co-workers/supervisors/managers.
  • Professional demeanor in all situations or areas of the restaurant.
  • Time Management by using time at work in an efficient and effective manner to complete duties.
  • Must be at least 18 years old at the time of hire.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
  • Remain standing for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to sit, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, and pull items weighing 50 lbs. or less.
  • Manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
  • Frequent communication with Managers and Team Members and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
