Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Pizza Maker to join our team at Piesanos Tallahassee LLC. As a Pizza Maker, you will be responsible for preparing and/or directing the preparation of food to be served, adhering to all applicable sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare pizzas, bread, and other pasta dishes according to customer requests.
- Prepare dough by kneading and stretching as required.
- Add toppings according to order slips and manage pizza time in the oven.
- Assist in cleaning workspaces and maintaining utensils and equipment.
- Operate the stone oven and other equipment.
- Ensure proper sanitation and preventative maintenance of equipment and work areas.
- Handle, prepare, pull, and rotate pizza dough.
- Maintain a presentable appearance and professional demeanor.
- Prepare consistent quality food by following Piesanos recipes and procedures.
- Ensure proper sanitation of food and work areas by following FDA code and Piesanos standards.
- Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures.
- Able to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen atmosphere.
- Effective communication skills.
- Professional demeanor and time management skills.
- Must be at least 18 years old at the time of hire.
A Pizza Maker is expected to be able to perform the job functions with reasonable accommodation. Physical demands include:
- Remain standing for extended periods of time.
- Ability to sit, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, and pull items weighing 50 lbs. or less.
- Manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills.
