About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Billing Specialist to join our team at Amerita. As a key member of our revenue cycle team, you will be responsible for managing billing queues, performing quality assurance, and ensuring accurate and timely creation of new claims.

Responsibilities
  • Manage billing queues daily and perform quality assurance to ensure accurate and timely creation of new claims
  • Ensure submitted claims meet payer-specific billing guidelines
  • Receive, post, balance, and archive payments and adjustments to Accounts Receivable
  • Work Aged Trial Balance reports to ensure company collection goals are met
  • Answer and track patient billing questions and concerns

Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent required
  • A minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of experience in medical billing with a working knowledge of managed care, commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid reimbursement
  • Infusion center experience preferred
  • Ability to adapt to change in a rapidly changing environment
  • Working knowledge of automated billing systems
  • Working knowledge and application of metric measurements, basic accounting practices, ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
  • Solid Microsoft Office skills, typing 40 wpm, and proficiency with 10-key calculator
  • Ability to independently obtain and interpret information
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
