Hospital Operations Coordinator

Job Summary:
The Hospital Operations Coordinator is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to Mayo Clinic patients, visitors, and staff by answering and directing incoming calls in a timely and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer and direct incoming calls to the appropriate department or staff member
- Utilize electronic directory databases, websites, and other reference materials to provide accurate and efficient information to callers
- Assist callers with pagers and other communication devices as needed
- Process a high volume of telephone calls in a fast-paced environment
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor at all times
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and provide support to colleagues as needed
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Working Conditions:
The Telecommunications Center is a 24/7 operation, and the Hospital Operations Coordinator must be able to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and overnights.
