Job Summary

The Hospital Operator is a critical role at Mayo Clinic, responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support through effective communication. As a key member of our Telecommunications Center team, you will be the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff, utilizing your excellent communication skills to resolve inquiries and concerns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer and direct incoming calls in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Utilize electronic directory databases, websites, and applications to provide accurate information and resolve caller inquiries.
  • Triaging calls and paging staff as necessary to ensure timely and effective response to patient needs.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of Mayo Clinic's services, policies, and procedures to provide accurate information to callers.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure seamless communication and patient care.
