As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities, providing exceptional customer service, and collaborating with our contracted janitorial service companies to achieve our cleaning standards.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with setting up special room arrangements, relocating faculty and staff, and moving furniture and equipment as needed.
- Maintain the cleaning standards of all DTCC buildings, including hallways, lounges, classrooms, and restrooms.
- Provide liaison for contract activities between DTCC and contracted janitorial service companies, ensuring daily communication and enforcing contract requirements.
- Monitor and assist with cleaning tasks, checking for spills and debris, and addressing problems promptly.
- Ensure that cleaning equipment and supplies are properly maintained and stored, and perform minor repairs on housekeeping equipment as needed.
- Maintain storerooms and janitor closets in a clean and orderly manner.
- Ensure that all evening cleaning is completed to DTCC standards nightly.
- Perform nightly inspections of buildings for cleanliness.
- Assist with developing and maintaining training programs for housekeeping staff.
- Report any discrepancies or deficiencies in housekeeping staff's compliance with policies and procedures to the Housekeeping Manager.
- Meet with the Housekeeping Manager on a weekly basis to discuss departmental functions and report any issues that need attention.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Minimum of 5 years of housekeeping experience, with at least 3 years in a lead role.
- Knowledge of housekeeping products and procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow directives and complete assignments in a timely and efficient manner.
