Position Summary
The Hydro Blast Technician will perform a wide range of physical tasks requiring strength and flexibility for handling, positioning, moving, and manipulating equipment and materials. This role involves emergency response, vacuum truck operations, waste disposal, site remediation, and high-pressure water blasting.
This is a full-time position with the opportunity for overtime.
Responsibilities- Operate and set up all necessary cleaning equipment such as high-pressure pumps, in-service line hydro-blasting, and vacuum systems, adhering to operational guidelines and safety procedures.
- Strictly adhere to all safety policies and practices, including the proper use of personal protective gear.
- Work safely in and around heavy machinery within loud, hazardous, and demanding industrial settings.
- Manually clean, install, and repair valves, caps, hoses, pumps, gaskets, and other equipment on tanks.
- Assist in inspecting equipment, hoses, connections, pumps, and the general work area before starting any job. Inform supervisors of any deficiencies that could lead to accidents, injuries, or lost productivity.
- Ability to travel for extended periods.
- Valid driver's license or identification card.
- Availability to respond to emergency calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a week if required.
- Ability to work for extended periods in confined spaces, extreme temperature environments, and at high elevations.
- Ability to perform duties according to training and standard operating procedures.
- Ability to understand and follow specific procedures and directions.
- Ability to lift, move, and handle up to 50lb hoses.
- Successful completion of a drug screen, pre-employment physical, and all required background checks.
- Hydro blasting or pressure cleaning experience is preferred but not required.
- General labor experience is a plus.
