The Opportunity
At Ally, we're dedicated to providing world-class support to our customers as they purchase and lease vehicles. We're seeking a skilled Consumer Underwriter - Auto Finance to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering customer-obsessed auto finance products and solutions.
The Role
- Evaluate, negotiate, and decide consumer offerings within Ally's underwriting policies to grow application and contract volume.
- Build and maintain a portfolio of dealers and provide best-in-class relationship management for assigned territories.
- Leverage high-touch and high-tech capabilities to negotiate contracts and demonstrate market awareness, strong listening, and adaptability.
- Requires flexibility in work schedule, including evening hours, limited travel, and weekends.
The Skills You Bring
- 1+ years in auto finance consumer underwriting or Auto Dealership Finance (prime, sub-prime, and/or non-prime) preferred.
- 3+ years of Auto consumer underwriting highly preferred.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Excellent sales, negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Quarterly travel will be required.
- Self-starter with a high level of productivity and sense of ownership, with the ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge to new situations.
- Familiarity with the Auto Finance industry, consumer credit, and trend analysis/analytics with the ability to work independently and drive business results.
