Job Summary

As an Installation Technician with TelCom Construction, LLC, you will be responsible for installing, disconnecting, reconnecting, adding, changing, and troubleshooting low voltage telecommunications lines. This role requires a strong understanding of telecommunications technology and excellent customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, disconnect, reconnect, add, change, and troubleshoot low voltage telecommunications lines such as cable TV, fiber optic, Internet, telephone, and/or alarm equipment in accordance with guidelines.
  • Use small hand tools, power tools, and test equipment to ensure service operates within prescribed parameters.
  • Attempt to identify and remedy sources of customer-perceived problems.
  • Drive company vehicle between home/office, warehouse, and work sites in a safe and courteous manner.
  • Clean, maintain, and stock vehicle and equipment in order to be prepared to perform required duties.
  • Complete paperwork accurately, and reports and records work order status updates.

Requirements

  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be available to work weekends (as needed).
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without accommodations.
  • Ability to carry a 28' ladder.
  • Ability to work in tight spaces such as a crawl space of a house.
  • Due to safety reasons, maximum bodyweight restriction must not exceed 350 pounds.
  • Good, professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment.
