Company Overview: WeCare Staffing Solutions is seeking qualified Advanced Practice Nurse Anesthetists to provide onsite anesthesia services for various clinical and surgical procedures, specifically for Department of Veterans Affairs beneficiaries. Our care standards are in accordance with the guidelines set forth by the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA).

Role Summary: The ideal candidate must possess a valid medical license along with current board certifications (ABA-certified and BLS, ACLS, or equivalent).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely attendance for scheduled clinics and surgeries, demonstrating physical presence at the designated times.
  • Deliver comprehensive anesthesiology services for patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures, including but not limited to general surgery, orthopedic surgeries, and other specialties.
  • Provide primary coverage for patients in surgical intensive care, short stay units, and manage acute and chronic pain services.
  • Conduct bedside consultations for non-ambulatory patients and clinic consultations for those who are ambulatory.
  • All services will be performed onsite, adhering to the specifications outlined for beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Qualifications:
  • Must hold a current and unrestricted medical license to practice in any U.S. State, Territory, or Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia.
  • Board Certification/Eligibility by ABA for Nurse Anesthetists and current BLS, ACLS, or equivalent certification are mandatory.
  • All continuing education requirements for maintaining certification must be up to date.
  • Annual documentation of current certification must be provided throughout the contract period.

Work Hours and Conditions:

  • Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, with on-call services required.
  • Daily clinic or operating room schedule from 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM on weekdays, with on-call coverage as necessary.
  • CRNAs must ensure timely patient care in accordance with VA regulations regarding clinic wait times and consult completion.
  • CRNAs will be present in the clinic during established facility hours, which may be adjusted as needed for patient care.
  • On-call CRNAs must be available during off-hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • On-call providers must be reachable within 15 minutes by phone and on-site within 60 minutes.
