Responsibilities- Pre-anesthesia assessment and evaluation of patients
- Obtaining and verifying patient consent for anesthesia services
- Discussing anesthetic options and risks with patients and their families
- Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
- Monitoring patients' physiological condition and performing clinical interventions as needed
- Current license as a registered professional nurse
- Graduation from an accredited program of nurse anesthesia education
- Certification or recertification by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
