Sales Territory Overview

The Sales Representative position at Sysco is responsible for promoting the company's products and services to customers in the Ukiah/Windsor, CA area. This role requires building relationships with new and existing accounts to achieve profitable sales growth and special objectives within the assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business and penetrate existing accounts to meet sales and profit goals.
  • Seek and qualify prospects to achieve account stratification goals.
  • Research customer business needs and develop a mix of products and services to meet those needs.
  • Evaluate market trends and recommend products to customers based on business needs and goals.
  • Provide product information and practical training to customer personnel.
  • Manage deliveries to the routing schedule published by the transportation department.
  • Communicate and collect accounts receivable as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts, or related discipline, or HSD/GED and 3 years of Restaurant Management, B2B, or outside sales experience.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and current automobile insurance.
  • Ability to read, write, speak English, and basic PC skills and proficiency with MS Office.
