Hourly Wage: $14.87 to $16.36. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. The role involves travel across the county and operates on a schedule from Monday to Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with potential evening, weekend, and holiday work as required.
JOB SUMMARY: This position entails entry-level responsibilities in inspecting areas prone to mosquito breeding, applying pesticides, and performing related maintenance tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates should have a minimum of six (6) months of experience in manual labor or operating vehicles or watercraft, which included maintaining simple written records and/or reports. Additionally, six (6) months of experience using a personal computer or tablet is required. Educational qualifications cannot substitute for the required experience.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: A valid driver's license is mandatory, and the candidate must maintain this license throughout employment. Within six (6) months of hiring, certification as an Arthropod Control Applicator must be obtained in accordance with Florida Statute. The candidate must be physically capable of wearing and utilizing all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE), including respiratory protection. Extended hours may be required during peak seasons, mosquito outbreaks, and emergencies.
