About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatrist to join our team at MedChi, The Maryland State Medical Society. As a Psychiatrist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality mental health care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and treatment plans for patients
  • Diagnose and treat mental health conditions, including anxiety, depression, and trauma
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including medication management and therapy
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
  • Conduct regular follow-up appointments to monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
Requirements
  • Clean and unrestricted Florida license
  • Board Certified Psychiatrist
  • 2+ years of experience in outpatient care
  • Proven excellent communication, patient relations, time management skills, and safety awareness
Preferred Qualifications
  • Dually licensed as a mental health and substance use clinician
  • 1+ years of experience in primary care or related settings
  • Experience facilitating psychotherapy, process, and psycho-educational groups
  • Experience working with medical providers performing Shared Medical/Behavioral Health Appointments
  • Experience creating educational materials for patients and care teams
  • Experience with crisis intervention
  • Experience with Geriatrics or Certified Geriatric Specialist
  • Experience with health psychology and behavioral medicine
  • Knowledgeable of hierarchical condition category (HCC) coding
