Nurse Navigator

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Navigator to join our team in a busy outpatient clinic. As a Nurse Navigator, you will play a pivotal role in managing patient care, coordinating with multiple departments, and providing critical education and support to patients undergoing radiation therapy.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct intake, assessment, triage, and coordination of radiation therapy patients.
- Act as a liaison between referring physicians and internal departments.
- Manage patient records and ensure timely retrieval of medical information for initial appointments.
- Collaborate with radiology, medical oncology, radiation medicine, and other services to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Support clinical trial recruitment by identifying candidates and managing the consent process.
- Educate patients and caregivers on their condition, treatments, and available support services.
- Assist with IRB communications and maintain regulatory documentation.
- Attend oncology tumor boards and contribute to marketing strategies to promote the Radiation Therapy Program.
- Participate in community education and outreach efforts.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, preferably in an outpatient setting.
- Experience in oncology or radiation therapy is preferred but not required.
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and navigating patient care systems.
- Strong IV skills are a plus but not mandatory.
We are hiring for two schedules:
- Day Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
- Evening Shift: Monday - Friday, 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM.
Georgetown area - shuttle access required.
Pay Range:$45-55/hr *based on experience*.
