Responsibilities
The Nutrition Services Operations Supervisor will oversee and manage established departmental systems, ensuring the operational needs of the team are met while actively participating in the enhancement of operational protocols as a key member of the management team.
+ Direct supervision of the storeroom clerk and culinary staff, ensuring the operational efficiency of these roles.
+ Collaborate in the implementation and maintenance of infection control measures to ensure a safe and organized storage environment.
+ Maintain effective communication with patients, staff, and stakeholders regarding the quality of services provided by the Nutrition Services team, relaying pertinent information to management as necessary.
+ Ensure adequate staffing levels to meet daily operational demands while maintaining cost-effectiveness. This includes recruiting, hiring, and managing staff performance, as well as assigning tasks based on evolving priorities.
+ Actively engage in the menu development process for patient services, cafeteria offerings, and catering solutions.
Qualifications
+ A minimum of four (4) years of experience in food service operations, with at least two (2) years in a hospital nutrition setting.
+ An Associate of Arts degree is required.
+ Certification as a Dietary Manager (CDM) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist is mandatory; if not currently certified, this must be obtained within the first year of employment, unless otherwise mandated by local health regulations.
+ Current certification as a ServSafe Food Protection Manager is essential.
+ Valid ServSafe Allergen certifications obtained within the last year.
+ A Fire Safety card must be acquired within 90 days of employment.
Pay Range
$38.99 /hour
