Job Summary

Per Se Group is seeking an experienced Plant Manager to lead our client's utility operations in Alaska. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in power generation and a proven track record of managing electrical production systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement capital budget plans, ensuring alignment with the corporate 5-year plan.
  • Establish and enforce safety and environmental work practices, adhering to regulatory guidelines.
  • Direct the operation of electrical production systems, including contingency planning and load shedding priorities.
  • Supervise utility contracted vendors to ensure reliable service to customers.
  • Manage operations within a regulated utility environment, adhering to ADEC, EPA, DOT, DOL, OSHA, and EEOC guidelines.
  • Produce an annual budget and execute within budgetary constraints.
  • Meet reporting requirements for utility operations.
  • Supervise maintenance and operations personnel, providing direction and guidance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years of managerial experience in power generation, with a focus on coal-fired operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CMMS software (Maximo preferred).
  • General knowledge of plant controls, tools, equipment, and procedures.
  • Ability to analyze plant operations and offer suggestions for improvement.
  • Extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements, particularly EPA, OSHA, ADEC, and Regulatory Commission of Alaska guidelines.
