Position Overview:
The Healthcare Customer Service Representative (HCSR) serves as the initial point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a positive and seamless experience. This role involves managing front desk operations and facilitating workflows to enhance patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding customer service to patients and visitors, addressing inquiries and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
- Manage front desk operations, including patient check-in and appointment scheduling.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to privacy policies.
- Assist in coordinating patient flow and managing operational tasks to enhance efficiency.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to improve service delivery and operational knowledge.
Qualifications:
Experience:
Preferred one year of relevant experience in a medical office setting.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, including data entry and word processing.
- Excellent customer service abilities, demonstrating patience and empathy in all interactions.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in managing patient information and documentation.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Adaptability to work effectively under pressure and manage unexpected situations with composure.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Position requires standing and walking for extended periods.
- Capability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as necessary to perform job duties.
