As an Infrastructure Systems Specialist, you will:
- Stay informed about the latest trends in information technology.
- Monitor ongoing IT initiatives and understand business unit needs.
- Conduct comprehensive cost analyses for projects, ensuring compliance with the enterprise technical framework.
- Manage operations and maintenance of applications within cloud environments.
- Assist stakeholders in cloud-related purchases, engineering, and architectural activities.
- Support the product owner in identifying and mitigating potential risks.
- Deliver development requirements as needed.
- Utilize an approved tracking system for issue management.
- Establish and maintain an automated testing environment in AWS using tools like Selenium.
- Collaborate effectively with other contractor teams to fulfill project requirements.
Essential Qualifications:
- Proven experience in identifying technical and security issues with documented solutions.
- Experience in managing technical requirements.
- Strong problem-solving skills in relation to infrastructure issues.
- Familiarity with various operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and OSX.
- Experience with multiple hypervisors such as HyperV, ESX, and VirtualBox.
- Knowledge of Cisco operating systems, including iOS and NexusOS.
- Experience with Windows management tools like Active Directory and SCOM.
- Experience in LAN and WAN deployments.
- Familiarity with enterprise backup solutions.
- Experience with Storage Area Networks (SAN) including design and maintenance.
- Experience in migrating virtual machines across different Windows environments.
- Knowledge of network design and disaster recovery architectures.
- Experience in evaluating hardware and software for technical requirements.
- Experience in designing and maintaining commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) and government off-the-shelf (GOTS) applications.
- Experience with network monitoring tools.
- Ability to automate administrative tasks through scripting.
Preferred Qualifications:
While not mandatory, the following skills are highly desirable:
- Experience in IT system security.
- Familiarity with shell scripting.
- Experience with SQL Server and familiarity with Oracle and MySQL.
- Knowledge of various Windows operating systems.
- Experience with System Center.
- Familiarity with storage systems.
- Experience with VMware ESX.
- Knowledge of forensic software.
- Experience with HP servers and chassis.
- Ability to provide recommendations on technical and security standards.
- Experience in architecture and design reviews.
- Experience interfacing with vendors.
- Experience in building and troubleshooting forensic workstations.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
