Position Overview:

The Ambulatory Services Nurse II is responsible for the comprehensive assessment, strategic planning, treatment, and evaluation throughout the pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative stages of patient care. This role involves assisting the physician during surgical procedures by taking on the circulating responsibilities. The nurse will develop, implement, and manage an interdisciplinary care plan that addresses psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle considerations. Building and maintaining collaborative relationships with patients, their families, physicians, and other healthcare professionals is essential, facilitated through effective communication. Compliance with policies, industry standards, best practices, and applicable laws/regulations is crucial to ensure a high-quality patient experience. Continuous professional growth and development in nursing practice is encouraged.

Job Description :

EDUCATION

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program.

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE

  • RN-Registered Nurse of California
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
  • ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • PALS-Pediatric Advanced Life Support

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Proficient understanding of nursing theories, concepts, and practices; medical terminology; anatomy; and physiology.
  • Familiarity with the healthcare industry, safety protocols, best practices for patient care and privacy, and relevant local/state/federal regulations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical individuals.
  • Basic proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Outlook) and Electronic Health Records.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work within established policies, procedures, and scientific methods to meet objectives and deadlines.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team, managing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Skill in identifying, evaluating, and resolving standard issues by selecting appropriate solutions from established options.
  • Commitment to maintaining the privacy of each patient's protected health information (PHI).
  • Ability to foster collaborative relationships with colleagues and other healthcare providers to achieve departmental and organizational goals.

Pay Range is $65.68 to $86.04 / hour

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
