Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Patient Transportation Technician to join our team at TriHealth. As a Patient Transportation Technician, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting patients to and from various areas of the hospital, including nursing units, procedure areas, and laboratory areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport patients to and from various areas of the hospital, including nursing units, procedure areas, and laboratory areas.
- Provide assistance to patients arriving and departing from the hospital, including transporting specimens, supplies, medication, and other related items.
- Assist in the physical movement of patients to and from bed and/or equipment.
- Know and practice all basic hospital safety policies.
- Carry out transport and equipment assignments under general supervision.
- Show evidence of efficient time management and sound basic knowledge of patient needs for comfort and safety during transport.
- Be trained in CPR and responsible for the handling/transporting of medication.
Requirements:
- High School Degree
- BLS/CPR (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers)
- Up to 1 year in a related field
- Strong verbal communication & writing skills
- Knowledge of computers and phones
- Ability to pass a CPR course
- Ability to effectively use a two-way radio
Shift: 11-7:30 PM
