Key Responsibilities:

  • Transport patients to and from various areas of the hospital, including nursing units, procedure areas, and laboratory areas.
  • Provide assistance to patients arriving and departing from the hospital, including transporting specimens, supplies, medication, and other related items.
  • Assist in the physical movement of patients to and from bed and/or equipment.
  • Know and practice all basic hospital safety policies.
  • Carry out transport and equipment assignments under general supervision.
  • Show evidence of efficient time management and sound basic knowledge of patient needs for comfort and safety during transport.
  • Be trained in CPR and responsible for the handling/transporting of medication.

Requirements:

  • High School Degree
  • BLS/CPR (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers)
  • Up to 1 year in a related field
  • Strong verbal communication & writing skills
  • Knowledge of computers and phones
  • Ability to pass a CPR course
  • Ability to effectively use a two-way radio

Shift: 11-7:30 PM
