Job Summary

The Caracas Construction Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Construction Foreman to oversee the daily operations on our construction sites. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing short-term project schedules, leading construction crews, and ensuring the quality of work meets our high standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise construction crews, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to maximize job site efficiency and productivity.
  • Enforce quality control and safety policies on all aspects of construction.
  • Project layout and establishment of grades and elevations.
  • Create time-sheets, and daily reports complete with production quantities.
  • Comprehend project plans and specifications.
  • Have a clear understanding of measurement and payment for items.
  • Manage field relationships with our clients' on-site representatives.
  • Assist project managers with the transition between project phases, start-up, and close-out.
  • Identify extra work or change of conditions and report to project managers.
  • Ensure delivery receipts are collected and submitted daily.
  • Conduct daily huddles with crew members.
  • Meet regularly with project managers to discuss scheduling, coordination of resources, changes to project scope, and production quantities.
  • Working foremen should be able to work within precise limits of standards of accuracy and make decisions based on measurable criteria.
  • Possess the leadership ability necessary to lead, motivate, and direct the work of subordinates.
  • Physically, working foremen must be able to work easily and skillfully with hands, lift and carry objects weighing up to 100 pounds, have good vision either naturally or with correction, and stand, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in the above-mentioned type of work.
  • OSHA 10 Certification.
  • Familiarity with Mass DOT standards.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT medical card.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid unrestricted Driver's License.
