Soliant is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to provide speech and language therapy services to students in a K-12 educational setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in communication sciences and disorders, and will be able to work collaboratively with the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, and implement effective intervention strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to students in the K-12 educational setting, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address speech and language goals.
- Collaborate with the SLP and interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, and implement effective intervention strategies, including conducting screenings and assessments to identify communication disorders and developing individualized treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and attendance, and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support the overall success and well-being of students.
- Utilize strong communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, and to communicate effectively with students, parents, and other professionals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or related field.
- Massachusetts state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant.
- Previous experience working with middle school students is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
