About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Refinisher to join our team at HQ Aero Management Inc. As an Aircraft Refinisher, you will be responsible for performing refinishing services for aircraft and components, ensuring high-quality results and meeting customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare aircraft for stripping and painting, adhering to strict safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Mix and apply paints in various quantities, following established procedures and guidelines.
  • Set up and operate various types of paint-spraying equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Locate pounce patterns for registration numbers, demonstrating attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Follow all applicable specifications and regulations, maintaining a high level of compliance and adherence.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, promoting a culture of safety and well-being.
  • Perform work within estimated hours, meeting deadlines and delivering results.
  • Follow all safety procedures and specifications, prioritizing the well-being of yourself and others.
  • Be aware of and comply with all environmental guidelines for handling products associated with the type of work performed.
  • Execute all required paperwork in connection with assigned normal duties, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Use and operate ground support equipment, as applicable and if qualified, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Work with minimal supervision, accomplishing assignments with a high level of quality and efficiency.
  • Interface effectively with members of management, other departments, and co-workers, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Secondary Duties
  • Perform other duties and special projects as instructed by the Maintenance Supervisor, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Act as an Aircraft Refinisher Lead when required and if properly certificated and rostered, taking on additional responsibilities and leadership roles.
Qualifications, Experience & Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, demonstrating a strong foundation in education and learning.
  • Three (3) or more years of experience performing as an aircraft painter or five (5) or more years in an industrial automotive paint environment, showcasing a strong track record of experience and expertise.
  • Must have own tools required by Company Tool List, demonstrating a commitment to quality and professionalism.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Shift Schedule: 1st Shift 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM, 2nd Shift 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, 3rd Shift 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM - MUST BE WILLING TO WORK ANY SHIFT, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Preferred Qualifications
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant or FAA Airframe certificate, demonstrating a high level of expertise and certification.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
  • A normal range of pulmonary functions test is required, ensuring the ability to wear a respirator and other safety equipment as necessary.
  • Ability to use required safety equipment for the handling of hazardous materials, prioritizing safety and well-being.
