Product Engineer Role

CPS Recruitment is seeking a skilled Product Engineer to join our team in Buffalo, NY. As a Product Engineer, you will play a key role in the planning, design, and development of new products and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate development and startup activities with internal departments and customers.
  • Review customer specifications and translate them into detailed product engineering specifications.
  • Outline and define materials, processes, tooling, and labor content required for product development.
  • Prepare engineering documentation, including prints, bills of materials, and process documents.
  • Design, develop, qualify, and validate manufacturing tooling, equipment, and processes.
  • Maintain engineering documents to reflect changes in customer, vendor, or internal specifications.
  • Stay up to date with new technologies that can improve cost margins, manufacturability, safety, throughput, and yields.
  • Assist the sales department in estimating materials, labor, and tooling for quotations.

Requirements:

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, professional journals, and governmental regulations.
  • Apply advanced mathematical and analytical concepts to tasks, including variance analysis, correlation techniques, and sampling theory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, email systems, and task-specific software.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work with CAD software and other engineering tools.
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Biomedical, or related field) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
