Role Overview
The Senior Business Process Analyst plays a crucial role as the Operations specialist within Global Lottery Field Services (GLFS), acting as a bridge between the GLFS Business Intelligence team and various operational functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and sustain reports and dashboards utilizing Power BI and Tableau, delivering critical insights and strategic business recommendations.
  • Collaborate with management across all levels to define data requirements for ongoing and upcoming projects.
  • Advise on suitable solutions and mentor junior analysts on data best practices, ensuring the establishment of effective processes.
  • Identify potential risk areas affecting GLFS operations and communicate findings to leadership, providing recommendations for current and future projects.
  • Analyze data to extract actionable insights and guide junior analysts in translating these insights into operational actions.
  • Engage in Machine Learning initiatives alongside engineers and data scientists to design, test, and implement algorithms aimed at enhancing operational processes.
  • Examine data to uncover discrepancies in data distribution that may influence model performance in practical applications.
  • Oversee the logistics and accuracy of data across various environments, integrating it into the in-house Data Lake.
  • Promote and support the adoption of data initiatives spearheaded by the Business Intelligence team, ensuring compliance with project specifications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in data analysis, business analysis, or a similar field.
  • At least 2 years of experience with Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization platforms.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with SQL databases.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities while ensuring timely and accurate delivery of results.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Snowflake.
  • Familiarity with Power Query and Python.
  • Project management experience and/or PMP certification is advantageous.
  • Prior experience with Salesforce, SAP, and/or Oracle is a plus.
