Faculty Position in Aging + Cardiovascular Discovery Center
The Aging + Cardiovascular Discovery Center (ACDC) at Temple University is inviting applications for tenure-track faculty roles in both fundamental and applied sciences, emphasizing cardiovascular health, neuroscience, metabolism, and aging. The ACDC fosters a dynamic and inspiring research atmosphere, welcoming candidates eager to uncover essential mechanisms underlying cardiovascular and brain health. Established in 2023, the center is led by Dr. John Elrod and integrates the former Center for Translational Medicine and Cardiovascular Research Center. Our faculty boasts a strong history of scientific achievement and mentoring the next generation of researchers. Our interdisciplinary research encompasses various domains, including vascular, cardiac, pulmonary, neurodegenerative, developmental, and metabolic pathophysiology. Collaboration and collegiality are core values of our center, supported by two current NHLBI project program grants and multiple co-PI awards. The ACDC is housed in over 30,000 sq ft of modern laboratory space within a cutting-edge research facility, equipped with advanced tools such as a premier genomics core, imaging facility, metabolomics expertise, and mutant mouse and surgical core.

Qualifications: Candidates must possess a PhD, M.D., MD/PhD, or equivalent degree, along with a strong academic background. Only distinguished scientists with robust research portfolios and a proven track record of securing fellowship funding will be considered.
