Job Title: Automotive Technician

United Parcel Service Inc. is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Automotive Technician to maintain our diverse fleet of vehicles, including delivery trucks, heavy-duty tractors, and trailers from various manufacturers.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair a wide range of equipment, including diesel, gasoline, and alternative fuel vehicles.
  • Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic work on various systems, including hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electrical systems, and engine controls.
  • Operate power and pneumatic tools, and perform routine maintenance tasks.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, with variable temperatures and humidity, and exposure to cleaning materials, petroleum products, dust, dirt, and noise.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure timely completion of tasks and maintain a safe work environment.
Requirements:
  • Active driver's license issued by the state.
  • Meet DOT requirements for the job assignment.
  • Current documented automotive mechanical experience.
  • Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and personal computers.
  • Class A/B or A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) - REQUIRED.
  • Dependable with ability to report to work on a regular and timely basis and complete scheduled workday on a consistent basis.
