Clinical Manager Position Summary

The Clinical Manager is responsible for the management of a nursing unit for newborns and pediatric patients with various medical conditions. This role involves supervising personnel assigned to Peds, SCN, NANN, and Lactation, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage human, fiscal, and other resources to ensure efficient and effective patient care delivery.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient satisfaction and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the Leadership Development and Mother-Baby Manager to achieve departmental goals.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and professional perinatal and pediatric standards.
Requirements
  • Licensed and registered to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of permanent residency.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
  • National Certification required (specialty certification within one year or managerial certification in accordance with AONE/AACN).
  • Bachelor's Degree required or in pursuit; Master's level preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of clinical nursing experience, with 1-2 years of leadership experience preferred.
Work Schedule
  • Exempt position.
  • Variable shifts depending on the needs of the department.
  • Works at least two after-hours shifts – minimum 4 hours each per month.
  • Works in a clinical capacity at least 8 hours per month.
Benefits
  • Full-time employees working at least 72 hours per pay period, part-time employees working at least 36 hours per pay period, and part-time employees working at least 30 hours or more on weekends only are eligible for benefits.
