Pharmaceutical Care Specialist

Job Overview
Texas Children's Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Staff Pharmacist to promote pharmaceutical care by managing the medication process, identifying and preventing potential drug-related problems, and resolving actual drug-related problems.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure medications meet the highest standards of quality and safety
- Participate in patient education and community outreach programs
- Support patient safety initiatives and protocols
- Conduct regular checks on communication channels and maintain smooth pharmacy operations
- Mentor and guide technicians and pharmacists
- Maintain accurate records of investigational drugs according to departmental policy
- Contribute to the medication management process and support discharge planning
- Provide counseling and guidance to patients and caregivers
- Assist in study initiation, maintenance, and closure
- Bachelor's degree or Ph.D. in Pharmacy required
- RPH certification from the state of Texas required
- 2+ years hospital staff pharmacist experience preferred
- 40 hours of training in compounding sterile products accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education or the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists preferred
