Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Veterinary Assistant to join our team at Hope Springs Veterinary. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our patients and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians in appointments and surgical procedures, providing exceptional care and attention to detail.
  • Perform technical duties such as venipuncture, radiographic positioning, and anesthetic monitoring, adhering to high standards of quality and safety.
  • Provide educational support to clients on pet care and health, utilizing your knowledge of medical procedures and preventive care.
  • Collaborate with the veterinary team to develop and communicate effective medical treatment plans.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitasking and prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service and teamwork.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including standing, squatting, walking, lifting, and carrying up to 40 pounds unassisted.
  • Comfortable working with a variety of animal breeds, temperaments, and sizes, including dogs and cats.
  • At least one year of experience working in a veterinary hospital environment.
