About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team at Southern Veterinary Partners. As a key member of our hospital team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional veterinary care to our patients while developing strong relationships with their owners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide High-Quality Care: Conduct physical examinations, diagnose and treat medical conditions, and perform surgeries and dental procedures with minimal patient stress and discomfort.
  • Client Communication: Explain examination findings, communicate diagnoses, and present treatment plans to clients in a clear and compassionate manner.
  • Medical Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date client/patient medical records and assist colleagues in follow-up and future management of patients.
  • Continuing Education: Stay current with new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine by attending continuing education meetings and workshops.
  • Team Development: Assist in the development of the paraprofessional team to ensure the delivery of exceptional client service and high-quality care.
  • Professional Representation: Positively represent the hospital in the professional community and to the general public.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) Degree: From an accredited university.
  • Licensure: In good standing to practice in the state of Texas.
  • Professional Comportment: Excellent interpersonal skills, positive attitude, and professional appearance.
  • Decision-Making and Communication: Ability to make decisions and communicate clearly and effectively with fellow team members.
  • Client and Patient Respect: Respect for and willingness to work with clients and their pets.
  • Compassionate Team Player: Ability to uphold a great reputation with clients and provide compassionate care to patients.
